24 Hours Of Online Giving!
Give Miami Day is an annual giving movement uniting nonprofits — big and small, new and established — to celebrate and increase generosity in Greater Miami through online giving. The event helps raise awareness about the critical role Miami’s nonprofits play in our community and inspires all of us to give to causes we care about.
For the first time Educational Foundation for Children’s Care Inc. applied and was approved to participate in the annual Give Miami Day campaign to be held on November 17, 2022. This means that we will be one of 1016 Charities soliciting donations from family, friends and the public for their different causes. This campaign will be for 24 hours beginning from 12:00midnight to 11:59pm on the 17th, but will be open from the 14th for early donations. We have to do our own promotion and bring our own supporters.
We operate a children’s village for abandoned, abused, neglected children in Clarendon, Jamaica. We plan to relocate operations to Bog Walk in St. Catherine early in the new year after the property we purchased is upgraded from proceeds received from this fundraising initiative.
We’ve set a minimum goal of US$50,000.00 for the day, and we are inviting you to participate, and be as generous as you can for the cause of our children. Our first university student is now registered for a degree in special education at Northern Caribbean University, others are in high school in May Pen, Clarendon.
Our Foundation is a tax-exempt organization, so you will be able to receive your tax receipt immediately after making your donation at givemiamiday.org/kidscare
You can help us further by becoming a Champion Supporter for the day by canvassing at least at least 20 family members or anyone within your circle of influence, Church, WhatsApp group, Facebook friends and email. We encourage everyone to participate.
The Miami Foundation (Sponsors of the event) will be collecting from corporate Miami and individuals, and from their collection they will share on a percentage basis with the 1016 charities. The more we collect, the more we will get from that pool of funds. So, here’s your opportunity to help us reach our goal in one day. Join me in supporting Give Miami Day and our children!
